warring tribes from Genabackis; we have met Humbral Taur - leader of White Face clan; Trotts in Bridgeburners was a Barghast; seem to be related to Toblakai; related to Moranths; hated and killed Tiste Edur;
Deck of Dragons
"a structure imposed on the power of warrens", each card a gate into a warren, its reading provides a sight into how various powers are placed, new cards appeared and some old ones disappeared when power shifted, House of Dark doesn't show on the Deck, Paran, as Jen'isand Rul, is new ruler
Deragoth
Hounds of Darkness; thick long neck; broad flattened head; bulging jaw muscles; scarred black hides; dark eyes; as large as a big horse; they were present in Raraku's early memories that L'oric visited, they had domesticated early versions of humans; drove K'Chain Che'malle away from Seven Cities; there were seven of them and Dissembleckis made a pact with them to make them Seven Protectors against Nameless Ones; Seven Cities were named after them; one of them was killed in Raraku by Karsa;
Dragnipur
the sword forged in darkness, chains souls to the world that existed before the coming of light, wielded by Rake, black sword trailing smoky chains, forged by Draconus who was slained by Rake with this same sword, carries a always moving wagon within itself which contains the gate to the Kurald Galain, the wagon is constantly moving away from Chaos which is following it, that's why it needs souls to keep moving; no one ever escaped before Paran (is this what made Paran an Ascendant?);
Drift Avalii
a floating island off the coast of Quon Tali; Andarist and Rake's grandchildren guarded the true Throne of Shadow; only one possible landing area; structures on the island were built by Edur; After Andarist's death, Traveller becomes the guard;
Forkrul Assail
also known as Krussail; strong but disinterested; one of the founding races; very long arms with too many joints; in the conflict of T'lan Imass and Jaghut, Forkrul acted as impartial arbiters; they are better fighters than Toblakai and Tiste Edur; they have pale blue blood; their wounds self heal;
Gothos
Jaghut, wrote Gothos's Folly - the oldest tome, Guardian of Deadhouse in Malaz City
Jaghut
also known as Jhag or Shurl, individualistic, treated communities as source of corruption, one of the founding races, lived alone in remote dwellings, feared each other, used ice as a passive weapon
K'Chain Che'Malle
Another of the ancient civilizations mentioned, but not described, one of the founding races, Morn was one of their ancient cities, first encountered attacking Gruntle and company in Book 3, they have flat, wide, fang-bristling faces - sickly pale like snake bellies - with empty pits for eyes, large black-pocked iron swords are fused to their wrists, they are reptilian and stride on their hind legs balanced by a long tapering tail, this race is more ancient than even Elder Gods, taloned three-toed feet
Moranth
Black, Gold and Green races; used quorls for travel; their Achievant was Twist; related to Barghast; welcomed Tiste Edur and learned from them;
Nascent
biggest of the Kurald Emurlahn fragments, bigger than even Tremorlor; civilizations other than Tiste Edur have lived in it and discovered magic of the warren; was flooded suddenly and someone put a wall held with sorcery to control the sea, there were T'lan Imass hunting renegades here when this happened and they got scattered, among them was Onrack; has black stone edifices of seven Hounds, two of which are alive (due to Paran); 3 moons, 2 suns;

small brown skinned people who lived in Rhivi plains and moved with herds in a seasonal cycle, assisted Caladan Brood and his Tiste Andii

Seguleh
leather-armoured, masked, short, come from an island south of Genabackis, don't talk much, disinclined to travel, arrogant, extremely conscious of ranks, most feared warriors on Genabackis, Rake once went to their island and fought till Seventh rank, now Seguleh want him to claim the mask for it and call him Blacksword, there is some champion Seguleh which rules the island, no one has seen him, we meet Mok, Thurule and Senu as servants of Lady Envy, these three are travelling to punish Pannion Seer so that he can stop sending his Priests to Seguleh island; Mok beat Tool in sword fight;
Silanda
ship Gesler's crew found in warren fragment called Nascent); three-masted black dromon from Quon, the only craft allowed to trade with the Tiste Andii, went missing on the way to Drift Avalii when Emperor's forces overran Quon; now headless bodies man the oars; before Gesler, Kesla had been onboard, killed all the Tiste Edur warriros and their mage; severed heads on board belonged mostly to Tiste Andii and a few humans; the ship passed through warren of dragons and delivered Gesler & company to Seven Cities, then collected injured of Coltaine's Chain and reached Aren; ship is made of wood from Drift Avalii;
Teblor
residents of Laederon Plateau; divided into clans, among them Uryd, Rathyd and Sunyd; descendants of Jaghuts (?) fleeing from T'lan Imass, these Jaghuts forgot their past as advised by Icarium; worship Seven Faces of the Rock; have four lungs; immune to infections; tall and well built; long lives; war-oriented people; could run as fast as a horse; treat humans as children; Uryd and Rathyd untouched by civilization; Sunyd have been betrayed by their greedy young generation; Uryd preferred spears and atlatl over bows; Teblor used blood-oil to harden their wooden blades, and to heighten their senses; naturally buoyant; Teblor are actually Thelomen Toblakai, their blood runs in Barghast and Trell (note: Fenn seem different); Toblakai are from the time T'lan Imass were still flesh;
Tiste Andii
black skinned race; children of Darkness; Gothos mentioned them in an aura of fear, never a big population, lived very long, now disinterested in almost everything, extremely powerful but mortal, Rake is the leader of remaining Tiste Andii
Tiste Edur
grey skinned people; only mentioned in Gothos's Folly; long brown braided hair; multihued eyes; carry curved sabres; wear clothes made of hide;
Tiste Liosan
children of Light; hated Andii, tolerated Edur; pale, luminous skin; they serve Osric - Son of Father Light; isolated for a long time, unaware of what's going on;
T'lann Imass
known as Silent Host among Malazan, didn't speak, only Commander Logros did, Bonecasters stayed out of sight - only one to ever appear was Olar Ethil who stood alongside clan chieftain Eitholos Ilm during battle of Kartool, Bonecasters could achieve much higher sorcery levels than Tiste Andii, killed by chopping body to pieces. Imass can cross water bodies but can only take shape on land, one of the founding races, became immortal to eradicate Jaghuts as a solution to the ice created by Jhags, Silverfox was their latest ruler, T'lann Imass created their own warren through the Ritual thus abandoning their old realm of spirits, they outlasted their gods through the Vow of Immortality and now feel alone

Omtose Phellack - warren of ice, used by Jaghuts
Rashan - warren of Shadow before Throne was occupied by Kellanved; it's cult had infighting and banished those followers which refused to accept the new god, among those was Bidithal
Shadow Realm - Shadowthrone's warren, barren plain, low hills, quicksilver coloured sky with black clouds
Starvald Demelain - warren of dragons, all Elder Warrens were born of this one
